Darryl’s career as a real estate appraiser began in 1997. He received the majority of his formal training from The Appraisal Institute. He has also completed courses with The Employee Relocation Council and FEMA, and continues to further his education through courses with such well-known instructors as McKissock and Sharon Lowman.
Darryl has appraised a wide range of properties in all value ranges, including earth-contact homes, manufactured homes, multi-family homes, single-family homes, and even vacant land. He also has extensive experience performing desk and field reviews for lenders, underwriters, and Fannie Mae. He is an approved appraiser for Countrywide Home Loans, and numerous other lenders and mortgage brokers. Darryl is a member of the Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors, and Heartland MLS.
A native of the Kansas City, area, Darryl grew up and graduated from high school in Independence, Missouri, and later attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. Darryl and his wife Sally still reside in Independence with three of their five children. They also have a son in Pleasant Hill, Missouri and a daughter in Denver, Colorado who have blessed them with four grandchildren. Darryl is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys hunting, fishing, and camping year round.
