    HURWITZ COMPANY, originally JOHN HURWITZ CO., has been in commercial and industrial real estate brokerage and appraising since 1955.  Richard A. Hurwitz, GAA (a General Accreidted Appraiser conferred by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®), and the owner of the company, is experienced in all types of real estate brokerage and appraising.  He was been in brokerage since 1975 and appraising since 1977, having appraised in 47 of 92 counties in Indiana.  Included in his appraisal practice is experience in commercial, industrial, residential, farm, special use, and development land.  He has, also, been involved in real estate ad valorem tax representation and served as a court (Federal, Municipal, and County) witness, both, since 1980.  He has taught  real estate appraiser pre-licensure and real estate agent continuing education since 1995.
